Siamo arrivati alla fine di questa avventura.
Purtroppo non riesco più a seguire come vorrei questo nostro gruppo.
OpenArena, è morente da tempo. Ultimamente è diventato troppo competitivo, troppo stress e poco divertimento.
Molti dei membri si sono allontanati, ognuno ha i propri impegni, e diventa difficile trovarsi in gioco.
Ricordo tutti con amicizia e affetto.

Un ringraziamento particolare a Gnaro, senza di lui credo che avrei chiuso molto prima.
Al contrario, lui, ha ridato un po di vivacità almeno per alcuni mesi, e ha permesso l'entrata di altri membri.

Un altro enorme ringraziamento a Thor e Adriano che per lunghi anni hanno mantenuto vivo il forum, con la loro attività.

Un ringraziamento a tutti i membri per aver voluto far parte di questa avventura, durata tutti questi anni.

Una tirata di orecchi invece a chi è uscito dal clan, ufficiosamente, senza neppure degnarsi di dirlo apertamente.
Non hanno avuto un atteggiamento da persone perbene, nei confronti di tutti.

Ringrazio anche tutti i giocatori di OpenArena, sia parte di clan che non parte di clan, in particolare Super e CHS con i quali eravamo gemellati.

Che altro dire, ci ritroveremo ancora in gioco, ma senza tag, sempre amici.

OpenArena, has been dying for some time. Lately it has become too competitive, too much stress and little entertainment.

I also thank all the players of OpenArena, both part of the clan and not part of the clan, in particular Super and CHS with whom we were twinned.

What else to say, we will still find ourselves at stake, but without tags, always friends.

Vorrei aggiungere quanlcosa quotando Amon e NON mi scuso se riuscirò ad essere molto antipatico e veramente poco diplomatico nei confronti di qualcuno, ma io sono schietto e sincero, come la birra che sto bevendo in questo momento, e le cose che mi passano per la testa le dico senza pensarci due volte.

E' stato veramente bello conoscervi tutti quanti giocare insieme e stringere amicizie anche se solo virtuali, almeno per me visto che non vi ho conosciuto mai di persona

Gnaro che ha dato un pò di vivacità al clan con i suoi modi un pò infantili e per la sua iperattività di voler fare le cose ed al quale chiedo scusa perchè inizialmente non avevo assolutamente fiducia in lui!
Nurreo che è sempre stata una persona squisita da quando l'ho conosciuto.
Assy perchè è stato forse il primo player conosciuto in OA, anche se poi... alla fine mi ha deluso in almeno un paio di occasioni!

Se consideri che sei uno dei fondatori e hai dato un'impronta veramente democratica al clan direi che il merito di essere sopravvissuti fino ad oggi è gran parte tua, in ogni caso eri affiancato da persone che si davano da fare. Premetto che non sono arrabbiato con loro, sono solo deluso che forse è anche peggio! MI sembra che Fixer, Colucci, Assy e Joves ora hanno una tag diversa, nonostante non abbiano mai apertamente scritto nel forum che stavano lascaiando i SoS per andare altrove o anche solo per un saluto definitivo al clan. Una grande mancanza di rispetto che mi ha deluso veramente tanto. Se invece mi sbaglio, fatemelo sapere. Quelli che più mi hanno veramente deluso sono stati fixer ed assy, con i quali avevo un'amicizia particolare e vederli con un altra tag sapendo che ufficialmente non hanno mai lasciato il clan mi ha fatto pensare molto ad una presa per il culo. Potrebbero anche dire che non facevamo molte attività di clan ma questo non toglie il fatto che se non esci ufficialmente da un clan con almeno un messaggio nel forum non sei completamente uscito neanche se cominci a giocare con un'altra tag. Non si tratta di uscire da un game, si tratta di uscire dal tuo clan senza deludere la fiducia dei tuoi ex compagni di clan! (modificato)

I state that I'm not angry with them, I'm just disappointed that maybe it's even worse! It seems to me that Fixer, Colucci, Assy and Joves now have a different tag, although they never openly wrote in the forum that the SoS were leaving to go elsewhere or even just for a definitive greeting to the clan. A great lack of respect that has really disappointed me so much. If instead I'm wrong, let me know. Those that most disappointed me were fixers and assy, with whom I had a particular friendship and seeing them with another tag knowing that they never officially left the clan made me think a lot about an ass. They could also say that we did not do many clan activities but this does not detract from the fact that if you do not officially get out of a clan with at least one message in the forum you are not completely out even if you start playing with another tag. Avevo intuito da tempo la volontà di chiudere il clan da parte di AmonRa e il momento è ora arrivato, davvero un peccato. Ringrazio per il bel tempo passato insieme (intendo al livello di appartenenza allo stesso clan, cioè gli SoS, ma neanche a dirlo saremo sempre amici perchè non è cambiato nulla se non avere quella stessa tag clan) e un ringraziamento speciale va a AmonRa, THOR, Mario, JTL, Nurreo, Gnaro e per finire Adriano che è un ragazzo che mi sta molto a cuore sia come persona, che per avere il mio stesso cognome (giustamente mai saputo fino a poco tempo fa), le stesse origini siciliane (i genitori sono di Enna, anche se io sono di Caltagirone, cmq saremo parenti molto lontani) e non mi scorderò mai della spedizione del regalo più bello che un gamer può ricevere (un tappetino professionale della Razer che ancora oggi uso con piacere anche perchè il modello e le misure sono quelli che desideravo).
Ci rivedremo in gioco e ci sentiremo su discord, quasi esclusivamente nei weekend.


I had sensed for a long time the desire to close the clan by AmonRa and the moment has now arrived, really a pity. Sono felice di aver guadagnato la tua fiducia , comunque si effettivamente, ripensandoci, un po' iperattivo lo ero (ed anche un po' infantile), più che altro ero abbastanza "piccolo" (non che ora sia grande, ma come mentalità sono cresciuto molto), ma alla fine senza queste cose non sarei riuscito a tenere il clan attivo per un annetto in più.

Having read your post, all I'm getting out of it that the reason for the disbanding this clan are your personal reasons and not reasons of the entire clan. Ever since I joined the clan I enjoyed the fact that this clan is leaderless and that we all decide on things as a team and we have worked everything out as a team. I don't understand how all of a sudden you or any specific member has the right to do so, even though I know that you have formed this clan.

Your claim that Open Arena is dying has no grounds as far as I can tell, the popular servers LIKE ALWAYS (allweapon CTF and instagib CTF) have been active as much as they have ever been - just yesterday on :F stupid it reached maximal amount of connections (22/22 I think?).

Having issue with the fact that it has became competitive contradicts your previous sentence about the lack of activity, since actually the competition has brought a lot more activity to the game and a lot more is going on lately than has ever been. If you don't like the competitiveness you can find alternative in active "chill" servers like :F stupid.

Members have been going through inactive and active times, together with the entire clan for ages now yet SoS held strong through all of it. The only issue I see with this is that this has been first time I'm seeing Adriano missing and not having as much time as he used to, perhaps he was the pillar that kept this foundation together? Anyhow, I haven't heard his opinion on this and I'm hoping we don't have him disappointed with the decision considering the amount of effort he put into keeping us together.

I'm very disappointed that you haven't mentioned me at all through out the post, or perhaps if you did you include me in the people who left the clan unofficially and blahblah.. It's disappointing that you don't see the effort I put to support this clan, ever since I joined representing it to the best of my abilities and participating in discussions (both strategies for tournaments and clan related) and having been there for the competitive matches and just fun games with mates..  I guess I'm mentioned only when I'm needed? It was quite disappointing last tournament that we had to organize a complete make shift-team including Fxr (who played for raGe on the tournament), who you're also probably including in your thoughts - who by the way has shown up to represent SoS and gave his best.
If you think I left the clan unofficially by duo-claning for raGe, situation I explained multiple times and justified myself enough I think, have you thought that perhaps this could be the case because in SoS there seems to be a issue with communication and the "friendship" you talk about in a way divides the clan - for me there's people in this clan I can talk to, relate to and have fun with and then there's people I barely ever spoke to - language boundaries are a problem.. Unforunately it happened to be that the people I communicate with have been inactive and rather than leaving the game I decided to play with other mates (in raGe), whilist staying in SoS to STILL give it support that I've never been credited for.

This decision makes absolutely no sense to me, SoS has been such a long lasting clan and to disband it over some petty stuff and something that has been a problem many times through out the existence of SoS all of a sudden being the reason for it to disband this time around doesn't make sense. Besides there's not even that big of a drop in activity these days, a lot of the members are still around (Amon, Thor, Nurreo, Gnaro, Adriano, and if you want or don't want to include me) There's a lot more worth in keeping SoS alive and going on than calling quits. I'd also like this decision to be made by the team and not an individual, so I'd like to hear other members opinion on this - should SoS be disbanded?

Keep in mind that still being this neglected by some members of the clan (most that posted above), I'm the only one who made this lengthy of a post in an attempt to keep this clan alive, even though I don't even feel welcome here and I don't feel nearly as part of the clan as I feel I deserve to be. Infact even if my attempt does work out and SoS is kept alive I am considering to leave it at this point.

Tu sei stato un ottimo amico e giocatore e chiedo scusa se non ho menzionato tutti. Il clan era già alla fine tempo fa, come ho già scritto. Ora siete liberi di fare quello che volete.
Ci sono altri clan praticamente morti, io non voglio trascinarlo fino alla fine dei tempi. Credo sia corretto prendere atto della situazione.
Del resto, io ho fondato il clan, io lo chiudo e mi spiace se qualcuno non sarà d'accordo.
p.s. Tutto quello che ho fatto, l'ho fatto senza cattiveria o rancore verso qualcuno. Ogni decisione è sottoposta a critiche, nessuno è perfetto.

But I don't really see the clan as "dead" considering all the actual "key" members are still around just for some reason you guys aren't representing the clan lately but using different nicknames (which doesn't really matter to me).
The other practically dead clans are still around since there's also no point for them to disband, since their activity has been just like ours sometimes on/off (even GoD last year had about 4 active players), look at chS also which is currently participating in the CTF tourney.

This decision is just really strange to me considering noone of what you're saying is something new or unusual for OA, and SoS - but like I said, this time around for some reason it is reason for you to disband.. Also like I said, I feel like it should be decision of the entire clan not a individual.

Buongiorno a tutti. In questi mesi non ho mai smesso di giocare, spesso con la tag, spesso senza. Se mi chiedete cosa penso della chiusura del clan, vi rispondo che non lo vorrei mai, ma riconosco ad Alessandro il diritto di scegliere quello che ritiene piu' opportuno e che crede piu' giusto. Credo di aver scritto nel post di presentazione che nei lunghi anni durante i quali ho giocato, non ho mai fatto parte di un clan, ma se mai un giorno ne avessi avuto uno, sarebbero stati gli SoS. Questo perche' nel tempo avevo avuto modo di conoscere le persone e ne avevo sempre apprezzato la correttezza e lo 'stile'. Cosi' e' stato, non ricordo come ma ho deciso di entrare e devo ringraziarvi per l'affetto con il quale mi avete accolto. Portare quella tag mi ha fatto sentire la responsabilita' di rappresentare al meglio 'i principi' del clan ed e' per questo che a volte gioco senza, per avere la liberta' di mandare a fare in culo qualcuno. Credo che il server :F Stupid abbia finito di distruggere questo gioco, partite 7 Vs 7 piene di gente che salta per aria trasformando una ALL weapons in una ONLY rockets. Aggiungiamoci anche che la totale mancanza di rispetto del prossimo e l'insulto facile finiscono per 'condire' il tutto. Nel frattempo :F Genius sempre o quasi deserto. Non ringrazio nessuno, perche' rischierei di dimenticare sicuramente qualcuno, permettetemi di usare una parola speciale per Gnaro, in rappresentanza di tutti, un ragazzo al quale mi sono affezionato. Sono 'nato' SoS e rimarro' tale, scusa Alessandro solo una cosa non te la posso concedere, la tag, anche io, me la tengo ben stretta.... Un grande abbraccio.

I think I wrote in the post presentation that in the long years during which I played, I've never been part of a clan, but if ever one day I had one, it would be the SoS. This' cause in time I had the opportunity to meet people and I had always appreciated the correctness and 'style'. So it was, I do not remember how, but I decided to come in and I have to thank you for the warmth with which you welcomed me. Bringing that tag made me feel the responsibility to represent the clan's principles at best and that's why I sometimes play without, to have the freedom to send someone to the ass. I think the server: F Stupid has finished destroying this game, you play 7 Vs 7 full of people jumping in the air turning an ALL weapons into an ONLY rockets. Let us also add that the total lack of respect for the neighbor is the easy insult end by 'condie' the whole. Meanwhile: F Genius always or almost desert. I do not thank anybody, because I would certainly risk forgetting someone, allow me to use a special word for Gnaro, representing everyone, a boy to whom I am attached. I'm 'born' SoS and I'll remain like that, excuse Alexander only one thing I can not give you, the tag, me too, I hold it tightly .... A big hug.

È arrivata dunque la fine di una avventura?....per me personalmente non puo che essere la cosa più logica per come mi si è messa la situazione tra due città distanti tra lavoro e famiglia. Non ho potuto seguire OA come un tempo facevo, ma ogni cosa ha una sua fine e per me è stata una liete fine. Poi ognuno la vede diversamente com'è giusto che sia.
Raga...che vi devo dire... mi sono divertito molto ma molto molto con voi....in tutti questi anni, a partire dal 2009 è successo un sacco di cose, ne abbiamo fatto di fraggate, è cambiata la gente, ma una cosa è sempre rimasta: la filosofia dei *SoS* non è cambiata mai. Due spari con amici, senza scrupoli o cose. Sempre con rispetto. E sono contento di aver fatto parte di questo clan che per me rimane sempre come esempio.

Voglio ringrazie prima di tutti AmonRa, che è stato un pilastro di questo clan. Ci ha trasportato negl'anni ed è un esempio per tutti. Così come THOR che è stato sempre un trascinatore della targa *SoS* p.s. un'altra partita instagib su ps37ctf la faremo comunque, eh?  
I primi passi di *SoS* dobbiamo ringraziarli a JTL e Lerix che hanno fatto possibile questa avventura. Infinity e $$$$ aka Kimimaro li ricordo dall'ora.
Una grande parte del mio tempo su OA l’ho trascorso tra cazzate, OA challange/leagues e tanto per passarsi il tempo su Aftershock e CTF con Mario, AssY, Colucci, Richy e Kraig: Il dottore, "altes Haus", my friend, l'ingegnere e il mio chissà parente E pure SaMMy. Ricordi molto belli. Poi al di fuori anche con Monster e Lighter per dirne due…
Più challening le partite con Jonas e Optimus.
Grazie anche a Flash, un amico di AssY, per il song *SoS* che ci ha dedicato.
Nel piu recente.... un caro saluto a Nurreo, per me un vero *SoS*. Poi Joves con cui ero in perfetta armonia tattica su oasago. Cheers, XZ

Has the end of an adventure arrived? ... For me personally it can only be the most logical thing for how the situation has been set between two cities that are far from work and family. I could not follow OA as I used to, but everything has its end and for me it was a good ending. Then everyone sees it differently as it should be.
Guys... what should I tell you... I had a lot of fun with you ... in all these years, since 2009 a lot of things were happened, we have made a lot of fraggs together, had fun, people have changed meanwhile, but one thing has always remained: the philosophy of * SoS * has never changed. Two shots with friends, no scruples or things. Always with respect. And I'm happy to have been part of this clan, which for me is still an example.

I want to thank first of all AmonRa, who was a pillar of this clan. He has transported us over the years and is an example for everyone. As well as THOR which has always been a license plate * SoS * p.s. another game instagib on ps37ctf we'll do anyway, eh?
The first steps of * SoS * we must thank them to JTL and Lerix who have made this adventure possible. Infinity and $$$$ aka Kimimaro I remember them from that time.

Ciao ragazzi, un saluto anche da parte mia.
Mi spiace molto che questa esperienza sia finita, mi ricordo ancora di quando Johnny mi propose di diventare uno dei fondatori dei SoS ma declinai perché per me era assurdo continuare a creare clan italiani (a quel tempo c'erano i DoP, i Var e, per l'appunto, i SoS), adesso non solo ci sono pochi clan, ma non ci sono nemmeno più clan italiani! Andiamo bene!
Forse ora qualcuno può capire, a distanza di quasi 10 anni, come mai per un certo periodo ho provato a "rilevare" i DoP di Kyuuby e a trasformarli in un clan-sparring partner / gruppo per divertirsi senza nulla di ufficiale e senza allenamenti.
In questo addio infatti vi siete dimenticati di dire una cosa molto importante: anche se OA crea legami, rimane un gioco che non ha un ranking, che non ha achievement e che in pratica si limita a una schermata di punteggio che appare per 10 secondi.
Questo al di là di tutti i buonismi che si possono dire sull'argomento: truce, ma è la verità.
In un concetto: OA se togliamo alcuni rapporti umani non crea senso di appartenenza e non bisognerebbe dare importanza ai clan, finalmente ci siete arrivati anche voi.
Aspettando notizie su OA3 o su un rilancio del gioco vi saluto e vi abbraccio tutti.

P.S. Per quanto riguarda le scorrettezze sui cambi di clan, casualmente ho "intercettato" una chattata su Genius da cui mi è parso di capire, ma senza fare nomi, che era l'assoluta normalità fare le bandieruole.

P.P.S. Lerix sposato? Ma va? Me lo ricordo quando era ancora un pupetto! Congratulazioni!

Ciao a tutti ragazzi! (Si, so di essere 3 anni in ritardo) . Molti di voi non mi conosceranno, altri si ricorderanno a malapena probabilmente! Ho visto nascere questo meraviglioso clan e sono veramente onorato di averne fatto parte e di avere avuto l’opportunità di conoscere (anche se solo da dietro ad uno schermo) tanti di voi. Ho spulciato in qualche mio vecchio  topic e pare che io abbia avuto le mie prime esperienze con OA a 13 anni.. ben 14 anni fa attualmente purtroppo la strada che ho intrapreso mi ha allontanato da questa comunity, che comunque è rimasta sempre ben presente dentro me. Trovare questo topic e scoprire che questa avventura è giunta al termine mi spezza il cuore... OA mi riporta a ricordi molto felici e positivi, e questo grazie a voi che siete stati buoni amici e compagni di lunghissime e piacevoli serate. Vi auguro il meglio e vi abbraccio, spero vivamente che in futuro potremmo ritrovarci a fraggare spalla a spalla come ai vecchi tempi
